Frequency Coordinator Updates

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Sorry for things being quiet the last few weeks we’ve been trying to work through the back log of requests, renewals and everything else. Field day and a couple of work trips added to the adventure

We’ve made some changes to how the frequency coordinations are going forward that I think better align with the Repeater Councils Bylaws. In our bylaws we have a frequency committee and over the years the frequency coordinator has also served as a board member. We’ve since moved back to the committee mentality and have changed that board seat to a second at large position.

First and foremost there was a couple of you who expressed interest in adding to the role and I deeply apologize to you about not getting back to you properly.

With that I’d like to introduce Jim, W6GRE. Jim joins us from the Ankeny area. While being a newer ham he has jumped in and enjoys many of the different facets of amateur radio. You can find him on most of the Central Iowa VHF/UHF nets, Repeaters and GMRS Repeaters as well. His background in technology and Electrical Engineering will bring much value to the group here and keeping up with coordinations and other efforts. When Jim is not playing  radio (which is hardly ever), he’s enjoying time with his Family with various activities.

Welcome Jim.
