New Frequency Coordinator Announced

IaRC announces that Roland Newton, KC0IEA, has taken over as frequency coordinator. Roland can be reached for frequency coordinations at coordinator@iowarepeater.org

An orderly transition is in process as IaRC’s long time (40 year) coordinator passes the baton.

Retiring coordinator Dennis Crabb M.D., WB0GGI, has served the Iowa amateur community in this role since amateur radio service repeaters first appeared.  He has provided the continuity that has kept Iowa frequency coordination stable for decades.

We wish Denny well as he releases the reigns, and look forward to being able to consult with him on an ad hoc basis.  IaRC thanks him for many years of dedicated work.

The Repeater Council has been planning for this transition over the past several years.  While Roland has been actively handling coordinations since December, he’s been ramping up for over a year.   The transition is proceeding with minimal impact.
